College of Liberal Arts (CLA) students can schedule an appointment to meet with their college advisor (in-person or virtually), Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, year round.

The College of Liberal Arts has a team of caring advisors who are a part of our students’ success. We encourage you to meet with your advisor regularly. Their support will help your academic progress as well as provide you valuable insight on:

Most CLA students meet with their academic advisor each semester to check in on their progress and to plan for the next semester. If you have a multi-semester plan in place, we may only meet once a year to touch base. Of course, we are available all year for meetings if questions arise or if your plans change!

Advisors wear many hats. Some things we help with are:

  • Planning long-term and short-term schedules that meet student needs
  • Informing you about your degree requirements and MTSU offerings
  • Showing you which courses qualify for financial aid
  • Directing you to the appropriate campus resource for your needs
